ORGANIZATIONAL VALUES
1. Artist Centered
Purple Images Productions exists for the promotion and development of art and development media.
Purple Images works with artists, those who are established and those who are yet to be discovered and developed, particularly those living in disadvantaged communities.
2. Respect and Understanding
Purple Images Productions will place equal emphasis upon respect for local culture and tradition and the integrity of artists. Recognizing that there are intrinsic tensions between these two sets of stakeholders is part of Purple Images Productions' mission; to build understanding and mutual respect. The organization also respects its staff members, trustees and volunteers and recognizes their major contribution to the achievement of organization's mission.
3. Diversity and Exchange
Purple Images Productions will promote diversity in the implementation of all its projects and festivals. We will also promote exchange of cultures and traditions to promote understanding, peace and a pluralistic society. We do not allow discrimination in selecting artists, recruiting staff or crew on basis of race, gender, ethnicity, politics or religion.
4. Regional Identity
Purple Images Productions is committed to building regional networking among artists and a feeling of collective ownership for this regional festival.
Collaboration and Partnership
Purple Images Productions collaborates with government agencies, corporate sector, donors, international NGOs, academia, and civil society as a whole but without compromising its independence of thought and actions.
5. Gender Balance
Artists are of both genders and reflect the population at large. Our governance, staffing and artist selection processes should therefore reflect gender balance and equity.
6. Transparency
Transparency in major decision making is critically important. When selecting artists for the final programme, when reviewing the management accounts, budgets and expenditures, when dealing with new staff recruitment, salaries and benefits; it is important to be transparent with each other and other relevant stakeholders.
